Agree, that's all they are good for really, a before and after comparison to give you a rough idea of the gains you've got from the remap.

Thanks for the orders so far. We made up the numbers last week for the GB price so thats open to other forum members until Friday 16th August.

With regards to the Dyno we still have access to our old one until our new one is set up in a few months.

Really interested in joining the group buy for remote remap for my 2018 F31 335d.

Can someone send me the info please?

I'd appreciate the answers to a few queries:

1) In the unlikely event that the remap is overwritten by BMW during service etc will the Evolve R map still work or does an updated version have to be created? If the latter, is that covered under the initial purchase cost?

2) Can the scales on the performance gauges be updated to reflect the new power outputs as part of the remap?

3) Are the power increases delivered without a plume of black smoke behind the car when on a blast? My last remap on my 535d from E-Maps was nice and clean running and I'd like to keep it that way.

1. Yes we would update the map FOC while you own the car.

2. Yes power gauges are changed.

3. No smoke.

Hi Paul

Is this price ongoing? I want to get a remap on my F32 2.0d but not for a month or so. Will you still honour this discount then?

I already have an OBD cable that I bought to use with Bimmercode. Will that suffice? Can plug in to either iPhone or PC.

Any ideas on potential figures for my car? Its the 184bhp model stock.

Cheers

im assuming none of you guys care about warranty hence the remaps, right?
it just dawned on me that i was planning to extend the warranty another year but that means i can't remap...... very conflicted about what to do now!

Can I ask whether there are maps that are guaranteed to be undetected by a main dealer at all? Or will this and all others leave a record in the memory in some shape or form.

Hi, I got the remote remap for my F31 330D last week and thought i would share the following feedback:

1. My laptop anti-virus (Kasperski) didnt like the application Evolve send you to use for the remote upload/download. It kept flagging it as a Trojan and deleting the Exe file. I had to turn off the anti virus whilst using the programme and it worked fine thereafter.
2. I previously had the Evolve 'Switch' for my E90 335D and it was great. The car was a monster and it had no issues for time i had it, so it was one of the reasons i went for the Evolve remote map option.
3. I had the BMW power kit already on the 330D, which had it running circa 286hp, but whilst it was an improvement from stock, it always felt lacking compared with the E90 335D. Maybe it was the different turbo set up.
4. The Evolve map was easy to upload and took a few minutes to complete.
5. Wow, I now know what i have been missing out on with the F3x 335D. The car is transformed and I keep s******ing every time i put my foot down and blasting into the horizon. It is now extremely quick and Im finding myself making excuses just to go for a drive.

The F3x 335D with an Evolve map must be a serious bit of kit.

Cheers.

I went for the Evolve-R option for my F31 335d Xdrive M Sport Shadowline as part of the group buy.

Sent the necessary data by email to Evolve one day and rec'd the new map the next.

Flashed the map a couple of days ago. Really easy to do and took less than five minutes to upload from my laptop. No fuss, no errors. [There is an easy to follow video on Youtube if needed]

Limited driving so far but I'm impressed, smooth and very quick, significantly more so that before. My previous 535d M Sport was mapped to 350hp / 700nm and this seems more responsive. I'm sure the 8 speed versus 6 speed transmission will likely influence this but it is a very lively drive.

Filename for the map suggests 730nm but I am not fussy about max numbers its how it drives for me and so far it seems great. 535d did 100k with that map on it without issue, hopefully this one will do the same.

Glad I went this route as I can revert to stock map quickly whenever I want to ....e.g. servicing.

For the record I have no connection to Evolve other than buying this product.

Thank you for the feedback guys. Much appreciated and glad you are enjoying your Evolved diesels.

We have also reduced the price of the remote option to reflect the fact the car is not coming into us and we are saving time on having to install it.

No ECU tune is completely undetectable.

Some real world performance figures from our 335d/435d remap. This was from a 435d GC.

Stock 100-200 kph 14.06 seconds

Evolve Tuned 100-200 kph 11.56 seconds

Seriously thinking of going for the Evolve remote remap. I’ve just put a DTUK box on but I’m not happy with the power delivery, I seem to get a wierd juddering on most settings.

What is the power delivery like with remote remap? Is it smooth and how does it compare to a tuning box?

Cheers

I'm sure forum members will also comment but the power delivery is as smooth as if not smoother than stock with our remap.

Had my Evolve-R remap for a couple of months now and I'm delighted with it. Power delivery is super smooth but strong and relentless. No hiccups, no nasty smoke and great on fuel when you are easy on the pedal or just cruising. Not sure what the definitive figures are but it makes the 335d very rapid when you want it to be and overtaking is absolutely effortless. Considering an Xhp transmission remap to go with it now to complete my tuning enhancements.

Thank you for your feedback. We also have a transmission tune we developed to go along with our tune if you wanted to try it. Can be loaded in with the same software that we use for the ECU tune.
