I don't see individual merino leather or individual paint on 340 models.

also included in the configurator is the 330i and xi

Also, don't know if this is a 2017 update but I do not see the Cold Weather package including the headlight sprayers or just as a feature in general for the car? Honestly, being a clean/wash freak for my car, I hate having the sprayers bc sometimes all you need is a the windshield sprayed and not the entire front end of the car. I hope its gone...

Yeah that is nickel and diming but the way I see it you can negotiate that difference off easily. Can you tell if invoice went up on it too?

IMO, a BYO online configurater doesn't "confirm" anything. The pricing guide PDF is the law of the land when it comes to ordering BMWs, the configurater is just a buggy marketing tool. \rant

Yes, invoice went up, too. The $550 price goes back to the E46. Mercedes charges $720.

The 330 config lists the LED lights, Tech package, Driver Assistance Plus, Track Handling Package and HK sound as a "special option" that you should talk to your dealer about. Interesting. There's also no option for 19" wheels on it (not sure if there ever was for the 328). If the 19's were available, the price for a 330 with the same options my 340 has would have only had about a 2k MSRP price difference.

My 330i xDrive Sedan
2.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder
xDrive, intelligent all-wheel drive
See all standard features
BASE MSRP$40,750
Black Sapphire Metallic$700
Black Dakota Leather with Dark Oyster highlight$1,450
Fineline Anthracite Wood Trim with PearlGloss Chrome highlight$0
Cold Weather Package$800
Driver Assistance Package$950
Lighting Package$800
• Premium Package$2,450
M Sport Package$3,000
• Adaptive M Suspension$700
Technology Package$2,750
Harman Kardon surround sound system$875
Destination & Handling:$995

Total MSRP as Built$56,220

Add $900 or whatever the 403 Wheels were and it's a $57,120 330xi. Whoop!

it looks like its alot cheaper but metallic paint is $200 more eating into the "savings"
Msport is mandatory for 340i and you so essentially are forced to pay on average higher for the lowest configured 340i
something else went up too but I dont have the prior figures.. maybe tech package?
for my 340i config its a $400 savings year over year

Merino is available for the 3-series but it's only done through the special order process.

Unfortunately it's not an easy process at that.

Then that is new for 2017. Is it in the US spec order guide?

It was not a US option last year. I did this process when I helped my dad order an individual M4. So I know the process. But a few threads here have shown merino leather in the 3 series is not available at least thru 2016 MY in the US

I realize a lot of members on this forum have said that it was not available but that has more to do with the SA or dealership in that they either were not aware of the process or just plain didn't want to do it.

It is not new for 2017. It is not in the order guide which is why it the order needs to be done through the special order process much like the way you'd do an individual color.

I guess since 2016 models are done it no longer makes a difference.

You should note that I'm talking from experience and not speculating. I don't know about availability for all orders placed in 2015 but can tell you that as of Q4 2015 it was.

Once I see one in the US with Merino I'll believe it. However this has been discussed in multiple threads. It's a BMW USA thing - or it was.

I literally thought the same thing, my dealer even thought it was available, but BMW did not allow it for whatever reason
