Rear Ended! Estimates Help Please
Hi
I was rear ended last Thursday. Taking it to the insurance adjuster on Wednesday and possibly to the body shop of my choice depending on the repair estimate. Just trying to get an idea on how much it would cost to fix. Any idea? |

No idea how much it will cost to fix (my estimate would be nothing more than a rough educated guess, and would not consider damage below the bumper cover), but my recommendation to anyone involved in an accident is to go to an Aston Martin approved body shop. I've never seen work up to my standards from any body shop not affiliated with Aston Martin, as they work closely with their body shops and drop those who can't get it right.

I don't think anyone can really give you a good estimate based on pictures like this from the outside but from the looks of it...
Rear Bumper replaced Outer Right Taillight replaced Probably some of the support for the rear bumper Tough to tell but the trunk probably needs to be replaced, possible that some of the mounting for the trunk could be damaged. so that... plus paint, labor, etc etc. It's going to cost a lot, replaced with all OEM parts, probably multiple thousands total

Outer left tail light appears to be damaged, too. Wouldn't be surprised to find more damage beneath the bumper cover. Take it to D&V Autobody near Dulles - ask for Kevin. www.dandvautobody.com

Good luck. Its always sad to see this kind of damage but I hope everyone is OK.
Bumper only repair including internal mounting hardware costs in the range of $1.6-$2K. I see that the body panel above the bumper has also been damaged. Only the insurance adjuster knows the final price. |
