2013 335d Oil leak?

Hi All, new poster here so hope this is in the right section!

I went to see a 2013 335d today. Kinda fell in love with the torque having only ever driven NA petrol engines before but I had one concern - in the engine bay on the left, about half way down there appeared to be some oil staining. I know little about these engines so I have no idea what this is or if it represents a problem. Anyone shed any light from this crappy photo? I couldn't see a source for it and it looked dried/burnt so could be a previous issue/spillage?! Or could be something more serious?

(hoping it uploads okay! If not, I'll host it somewhere)

no big deal with that. Its a joiner on the boost pipe that leaks ever so slightly under boost as there is always a small amount of oil in the intercooler and boost pipes.

Spray it on with a degreaser and the powerwash it off and monitor . It will takes months or years to get to that state again
