Anyone else having MAJOR issues doing address entry with the NAV (NBT, 2016)?

Out of the times I've tried, I probably have hit a 1% success rate. I'm looking for addresses in Alberta, it's telling me it's Vermont, Oregon, Alaska, etc.

I usually end up just using the BMW app and pushing an address to the car, but I'm wondering if something isn't mucked up with the mic causing it to come in distorted? Using the phone through the car is fine (not sure if that's the same mic?)

Or do I need to get my German dialect on so that it understand me?

I had a lot of issues when I test drove a 2016 and will try to voice enter navigation points. This is not the case on the 17. On the 17 version it goes through flawlessly.

Same problem here. It'll take me to the another state nowhere close to sounding what I was asking for. "brighthouse field, Clearwater Florida" "did you mean Bangor Maine?"

Hmmm... I wonder if the 2017 update would fix that then? I usually result to using the BMW app and pushing it to the car (obviously not useful when actually driving though).

The voice recognition on my previous MY13 335i sedan was poor - often even less effective than that. Completely reversal with MY17 440i Gran Coupe. Almost perfect.

Honestly every bimmer I've had with this feature sucks. If you have any background noise it will misunderstand you. You also have to be quick. Navigate to: then wait for it to ask for the location - and you have to speak very clearly for the numbers and street address. If you speak clearly, it works. If you pause to think of the address, it breaks and you end up in some other state. Personally (and I know this isn't an option for everybody), I use the BMW app and send the maps to the car (and use the connected drive site). If you have the ability to send the maps to the car, it's the best thing ever. you find the destination on the bmw app, then tell it to send to car - and a few seconds later the destination shows up in the messages interface - and boom you click on it and off you go...

I did the update this morning and haven't played around with it yet but so far it seems better. I said "points of interest" "online search" "brighthouse field Clearwater FL" and it found it. Had sooooo many issues before

Hmm, I did the same, but that shouldn't update the voice system. The Voice system is part of the BMW system, which uses New BSD (open BSD) Linux. But then again, maybe the update did something else? I updated mine this week also. I'll go back and check the voice rec. and see if it works better...

Only thing I can think is maybe certain points of interest were added or maybe recharacterized for better searching
