Here is my Quick and Dirty Version.....
First of all please excuse my bad english i will try my best to write it down that everyone can understand it. What you need: one LED Module per Door (Part: 63319353133) Torx 20 Screwdriver Small flat Screwdriver 4 hands First you have to remove the inner door handle. the easiest way is to pull it off with your fingers or a plastic sribe on the bottom of the handle. It´s just clipped in. Under the handle are two Torx 20 Screws. You cant miss them. Now pull the door panel away where its marked. There is no need to remove it completely. The panel is clipped in only. Begin at the speaker corner. Location of LED Module on the backward of the panel. two hands have to pull the door panel away. The two other hands loosen the two clips where the light guide is inserted. Use a tiny flat screwdriver. clips: Insert for the light guide: Pull the light guide out of the old LED Modul. Release the connector. First push the connector to the new Modul so the LED Modul cannot fall down in the door. Put in the light guide to the new LED Modul. Reassemble everything the other way round. That´s it. Have fun! Greets from Austria Flo Kudos to spassacab from a german board who did this first an explained me erverything. Last edited by derfl; 12-01-2015 at 11:52 AM.. |

Hi guys,
I don't have the option LED included in the panel doors. But, Is it easy to install them ? I have the LED under the AC module ( with the two colours red and white). So maybe, if I catch this light, I can put the LED in the doors panels... (like the illuminated LCI AC) What do you think ? Best, L |

So tempted to do the mod, but a bit worry about pulling the door panels...can the module changed without completely removing the panels ? It looks like we need to remove the bottom as well to have minimum to access the location of the module.....

yes, one Module per door is needed.
the last two pics show the LED Module. You get this whole part new. You put a transparent cable (i said light guide cause i do not know a better english word for it) inside the hole (see last pic) of the grey Module. This transparent cable is fix installed in the door. The light will shine threw the transparent cable and you can see it then. The small LED is located inside the grey module which you will buy. There is no need to remove the whole door panel you get easily access when pulling it away. The LED Module is easy to reach then. Greets @ Luckky i dont think you can do it cause there are two different door panels. One with an one without ambient light. Last edited by derfl; 12-03-2015 at 08:55 AM.. |

Is it the same led modul for the back doors as well? I really want to do this, cause the ones that's already there, almost doesn't show.
My car was produced march 6 2014, but i recon they still used the old leds still, even though the new leds was first produced from march 1 2014? I have changed the AC-trim, and in my opinion, I think the light there is brighter than from the doors. I tried to take a picture of it to demonstrate. What do you think? Do I have the old led modul? Bare in mind, that the lights seem brighter on the picture, than they are in real life. |

The trim around the climate control is indeed brighter than the ones from the door also after going to the new ones.
It's hard to say from the picture but I think yours are the new ones already. The old LEDs are almost not visible. Many guys did not know that there is a light. On your picture the light is visible so I think you have the new ones. Cheers Flo |

Was hoping that the new modul where as bright as the ambient light in the 5 series. A buddy of mine has one, and there you can see the light very clearly, even in daylight. |

ok I don't have this on my car but I will order part from dealer and try to install, I have run one wire into the door already and it can easily attach to the dual illumination in the under foot area of the car.

Finally ordered these from my dealer and following the BAVSound youtube video taking apart the panels was a breeze
Not the best photos, but you can see the difference! ps. In case you live in Canada.. These are the last 4 LED modules they have in stock in Canada. All others are back order from Germany lol. |

Hi all, I ordered the 63319353133 part from USA, I have changed the original LED module, but the brightness seem as same as the original one.
And the second one is the original LED module and the 63319353133 part LED module! Last edited by danielmok39; 12-27-2015 at 02:50 AM.. |

Great DIY was super simple to do all 4 doors in about 20-30 I accidentally popped off 2/4 entire door panels and it was incredibly simple to replace them without breaking anything.

So has anyone verified that this is the right part number and they are actually brighter?
Ok looked it up and it appears 63319353133 replaces 63319242150 ( active 11/01/2011 - 09/09/2014). So who in US has 63319353133 in stock and who can verify are they brighter? |
