According to that post I'm good (don't have the blue calipers). But maybe I should look at other wheels. Other ones I was considering were Sportline 8S or Forgestar F14's.

So I just recieved my new VMR'S. I've been out of the country and my choice performance shop has already installed my new wheels and tires. Heres the problem, the fronts are 19×8.5 35et (wrapped with 19/235/40 MP4S) . The rears came in at 19×9.5 33et (wrapped with 19/265/35 MP4S)! That's the wrong rear offset! I had the recommendation from VMR directly for my proper sizing. Somebody somewhere (maybe my shop) got the wrong size in! What am I going to do? It's our family car, so I need the car, but I dont want to drive on the wrong offset if I buy them new... Any ideas? Sorry guys. I know this is a pics post...

yea. you'll need et45 for the rear. Looks like they sent you their recommended "aggressive" fitment for the f30. et33 is best suited for the e9x platform

Yup! I just spoke to Brandon at VMR. He explained that et33 in the rear will likely rub on anything other than a smooth surface. So I have to get it replaced. My shop is pissed, because they think it looks fine, and I'm sure nobody wants to do twice the work for the same amount of money, but it was a mistake form the time the order was placed (between my shop and the vendor). It happens...
Here's an interesting tid-bit for any of you here that might not know, VMR said the et33 in the rear will likely rub, even on stock suspension. I'm currently running stock M-sport adaptive suspension. So any of you here considering that offset for rear, on VMR's, will likely have to mess with your suspension and roll your fenders, if you want a rub-free drive...

Good talking to you! I hope you're able to get everything sorted smoothly with the shop! Did you happen to get any pics of the ET33 rear on your car?

I have 19" VMR ET33 in the rear on a 275 tire. No rub and I am lowered, albeit not super aggressively.
Even over some massive highway dips with a full trunk (literally felt like I caught air on one remote road), I have never rubbed tire in the rear.

That looks really good! Personally, I would run the ET33 because I like an aggressive stance and don't mind doing a little fine tuning. The ET45 seems to be the happy medium between more aggressive than stock and being rub free in all driving conditions.

So I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out how to reply with pics, so I edited my original post above and added pics.
I can see why you might like the aggressive offset, but to me, it looks like it belongs on an off road vehicle. I don't like the look of the wheels sticking that far out from the the wheel wells. Plus, anything that rubs is counterproductive to performance oriented driving dynamics. At least that's what I believe...
My shop is making it sound like VMR is giving them a hard time to swap out the wheels for the correct offset. Do you believe that's accurate or are they just making it sound harder than it is?

Agreed 100% in that anything that rubs isn't ideal. As far as differing aesthetics, that's part of the beauty of car modifications - everyone has slightly different tastes, which helps keep things interesting. The ET45 will look great as well, and you definitely can't go wrong with Gunmetal on Alpine White!

These initial wheels were actually purchased from one of our distributors and custom machined for your order (as most of our wheels are). It's not uncommon for resellers to go through our distributors, that's what they're there for, but it's worth knowing the transaction (and fitment advice) was not through us directly. Since then, your shop has contacted us directly and has been in close talks with our wholesale department to help assist with correcting the situation. We're helping them out with the circumstances in mind, so I'm a little surprised to hear they're pointing fingers our way. They seem to be stepping up, so nothing negative to speak of from our end

Most importantly, I can confirm the ET45 wheels are in the works for you so you should be set soon!

Unfortunately, because that's an extremely uncommon color, I don't have any pictures of that combo. That said, I think a silver wheel would provide the perfect contrast!

That's what I was thinking too. Silver it would be.
