Yes I've done many 1/4 mile runs... but none with my current BM3 tune. I really have been struggling with the launch and traction with so much torque down low and driver's skill come a lot more into play with the 6 speed (I don't have launch control like the autos )... and not so good tires. Technically, I've only gotten a few good runs in with new wheel/tire setup (I'm not even counting my stock run flats... I was spinning halfway down the track lol... no matter what i did with launch, traction control, throttle control via my right foot, etc and how low I dropped the pressure so I will just count those as a lost .) Most consistent runs I did were last time in April with current wheel/tires (265 continental DWS rears) where best runs were high 12s @ 113-114 mph trap with a 2.0-2.1 60' . I was most impressed by the trap so I know I got plenty left in it with a better launch and I am looking into wider tires in the rear for increased traction. If I can cut a sub 2.0 60' I will be pleased. These times were all with JB4 map 7 on e40.

My BM3 setup is a lot more consistent and seems a lot faster on the butt dyno. My main grip with the JB4 was on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts I was cutting out a lot of power and then it would just come full force. My BM3 setup just pulls hard consistently throughout the RPM range and during my shifts so I really believe I can beat those times next time out.

My 400whp/473trq was on JB4 Map 7, FBO + e40 fuel that hit 19 PSI max and tapered up top. I dynoed again recently on same setup on a different local dynojet and did 375whp/430trq on a hotter day and a "stiffer" dyno. My buddies M2 on BM3 and meth did similar numbers so definitely no happy dyno there. My baseline was 288/312 that same day so I nearly gained 90 whp and 100+ trq. This one is closer to me so I will go back to the same one to compare numbers. I am actually planning on dynoing the next week or two as long as its not to hot out with my new tune and setup

I'll try and get some acceleration videos.

Big Brake Kit is going in shortly.

Would like to get some fatter tires for the rears without causing any rubbing issues. Looking at 285/30s and I think they will be a nice fit.

I am trying to scope out a completely new rear diffuser that swings all the way around the back similar to the aftermarket ones for the F80 M3s. As with most things, I don't like it completely over the top and am looking into an OEM+ style look. I am in touch with a vendor so I'll see if I can make some progress.

Aside from that and a few miscellaneous interior pieces, just enjoying it for a bit now

I am always brainstorming something though

Run 275s. 285s will rub and is overkill in width for no reason, your problem is you need sticky tires as well, wider doesn't always mean more grip.

Hmm why do you say that? I know 2-3 guys running pretty fat tires.. really depends on the offset of the wheels. F30 Garcia is on 285-295 with 437Ms with no problems. Plus I run 10" wide wheels so a 285 tire will fit without any problems.

In a straight line with a minorish bumps you'll be fine, but once you start taking corners and weight transfer, it'll rub. I had a friend who ran 285s for the track and he had to downgrade. F30 fenders aren't too wide like the F80.

if you're going to the track and worried about corners, just add more camber until they fit.

At that point he'll hit his strut, believe me, I've seen how wide F30s can go, and any more than 285/30 and it'll rub both ways.

he just said someone else is running a 285. and you should be able to manage the strut by getting wheels with the right offset. it seems like the standard is to run ~15mm spacer in the rear with stock tires, so at least a 275 will fit without any work at stock camber. It doesn't seem like to far of a stretch to put in some work and fit a 285.

Those guys are both on 20s, but agreed I think 285/30s fit without issues. Time will tell because I will be stepping up wider on my next set. When you drop the f30s, they naturally get more camber. I was at -2.2 or so without touching anything except for the coilover drop... I put it back into stock specs/range and currently am running -1.6 degrees in the back... just looking at it I have a little room to play.

Appreciate the love fellas

I'm from the Bergen County area - near Paramus.... Where are you from? bkkeys

@E90 LCI - They are OEM M Performance side skirt extensions (painted gloss black) ... you can purchase them from the dealership, but I suggest online such as getbmwparts as its a lot cheaper. You need both drivers and passengers side. https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462

Awesome I'll be getting them soon. Do they bolt up to the hole already in the car and does the hardware come with it?

The hardware comes with the it... theres like 10 little screws for each side sill. You do need to drill to mount them. It's pretty self explanatory once you are looking at it though.

Same setup, just the angle (the camera was on the ground shooting upwards). Yes there is room to go lower, but if you have a front lip setup it's just not feasible as it hangs extremely low as is.

I originally just wanted to have no wheel gap and have a nice looking stance... when the coils settled in it ended up being more slammed then I originally planned, but I loved the look so I didn't tweak the height too much

Wheels/tires just sit completely flush on the fenders... no finger wheel gap which was what I was looking for. If you have some sort of lip kit or m performance front lip, you are going to sit extremely low for everyday. Too be honest, if I daily drove the car, it would probably get raised up a bit (but I don't, so it'll stay that height for now lol)

This is to give you an idea of how it sits. This is on a level surface. Lip sits about halfway up the smaller iPhone so as I said clearance isn't great if there are a lot of dips and steep driveway/inclines by you. Hope that helps... good luck.

OP, you happen to know what your height is from ground to highest point of the fender opening? I am debating on springs and want to see where in comparrison to your look, various springs will get me.
