This company (Injen) has been around since I started working on cars 20 years ago. I was a Honda guy before I could afford to be a bimmer guy. So I was happy to see they are making an intake for my 340i. I didn't see any for sale on extremes site. I'm looking to get this and an active 8 tune. Any idea when you will have them in stock? Also, it's a closed box in the pic, but I've seen them without the box elsewhere. Do you know if the closed box will make fun sounds?

This is an intake like all the other options and does exactly what all the other intakes do.
They provide better air flow, change the look of stock and add more sound

hi all,

i actually have one of these on my car and posted a review on xhp or somewhere here.

essentially i cannot tell the difference at all between stock in terms of performance and sound but thats probably because its a closed system?

either way i thought i would benefit from having something reusable at the very least although a replacement panel filter in hindsight wouldve been the better option i think given the high cost.

the item is very built with high quality plastic and is much cheaper than AFE's equivalent product. install was a little painful though and instructions not great being low res black and white print outs

so yes, just an unbias owners review of the product. any criticisms would fairly apply to AFE or other equivalent designed kits.
