Square setup w/ 18x8.5 400M wheels?

Curious if anyone is running a square setup with 8.5in wheels all the way around and 255/40R18?

Assuming this is for an F34 and not a 2003 M5 they're about 3/4 inch too small in diameter. If you go with a 255 width it should be a 255/45. That's a tad larger than stock, which is better than smaller.

not sure if F34 oem offsets are similar to the rest of the F3/4-series but 18x8.5 400M rears have a +47 offset. i suspect +47 is too high for the front and may rub part of the suspension or inside of the fenderwell. it will also have a more tucked appearance even if it did fit.

Thanks for the quick replies. This is indeed for a 2014 F34. I just picked up the car on Tuesday. I've got a set of left over Yokohama snow tires from an E60 that I was thinking about mounting on the 8" wheels, and using the 8.5"'s for a non winter square setup. This would assume that I buy another staggered set of 400M wheels (8 and 8.5s), although it seems that the 8.5s may not work on the front axle due to the offset.

I am running 8.5's et37 upfront and have this much room between the rim and strut:

(smooth spot on strut is just from my hand reaching up there, its not making any contact while driving)

I can fit a finger between the rim and strut but only to my first knuckle, second doesnt fit. If yours are et47, a 10mm spacer would give you the same fitment. I am only running 225.45.19's though, so baby stretch compared to a 255 that would be a bit more meaty:
