BMW Genuine Value Line Parts

I'm going to replace the belt and tensioner on my 435i, BMW have a kit comprising of the tensioner, belt and idle pulley, but they badge it as their Value Line.

Has anyone had any experience of these parts, and whether they are still made by the likes of INA/Continental etc?

I don’t believe there’s anything different on the value line parts. It’s just a marketing exercise and a way to encourage people with older vehicles to use genuine parts.

As above

They're the same as normal parts but with a different 'label' and tend to come as a kit (ie discs & pads together)

I think the tensioner and pulley provider for BMW would is INA, and I've just found the identical INA kit for £60.00 in the UK (£70.00 Autodoc).

Can anyone confirm the OEM tensioner/pulley provider?

Not heard of Value Line until now. Is it in Tesco Basics packaging or something?

Every day essentials could certainly do with some 'value line'. E.g. 330d air filter - £73!! Seventy effing quid for a bit of paper and plastic. Insanity.

Just to update, the BMW value line kit worked out about £170, and as I knew it was INA who made the kit, I bought the version from Autodoc, it was £65.00 delivered, and to my not surprise, the BMW logo has been file off the tensioner!

Yup

ValueLine cooling system (Febi Bilstein) - £330 from BMW; £140 from. Autodoc...!

You could see where the BMW roundel has been scrubbed off

Streten from M539 Restorations gets his belt tensioner pulleys from here - https://size.name/en/catalog/rolik

Quite handy if you literally just need the pulley/bearing as BMW like to sell you a complete bracket and pulley assembly for £100s.
