I've searched within this thread, it looks like there are some really smart people making maps for fun.

I have a new to me 2014 f30 w/ catted DP in NY and am trying to pass inspection - anyone recommend a map or have a custom map that they have found useful?


- Catted Down Pipe
- Intercooler
- Intake
- bootmod3

Supporting mods:
- 1/2 step colder NGK plugs
- aluminum charger and turbo pipes
- diverter valve upgrade

If you're asking for suggestions on parts? Above.
If you're asking what map to run, try stage 1 or stock, but make sure the Cat is heated by driving hard before the test (if it's a tailpipe test)

Thanks - previous owner had done cold plugs, good to know.

Not a tailpipe test, goes through OBDII and has to check all the sensors and currently cat and o2 aren't showing as ready.

It seems the consensus is that event with the catted DP I might have issues. Does the L shaped o2 spacer help?

While I was trying to do a Launch control right after installing BM3 stage 1, my drive shaft decided to snap. Now BMW is saying they won't cover it bc of the tuning software on the vehicle. They're quoting me $2750 Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Never heard of a drive shaft breaking... but of course they wont cover since you tuned, that's a given. Maybe check for a used driveshaft and have an indy install...?

Sorry about your 330 b48 but like in the Facebook group.. LOL why the hell did you go to the dealer? Now your car is flagged and power train warranty is gone. There is NOTHING you can do about it. Tuning the car even with a jb4 is detectable and will void the warranty if they want it to.

Take it elsewhere and get it fixed for less money.

Not really sure what kind of replies you're expecting anywhere since this the n55 f30 technical forum. None of us have your car model.

VRSF - i tried a few different maps, when on the stock map, I got readiness on all monitors and it threw a p0420 code as soon as they were set. Had to switch back to stock for emissions.

B48 BM3 Stage 1 knocks

Could someone advise whether I have a problem with the amount of knocks I get (60+ knocks within 20mins city drive)? I am on BM3 Stage 1 91Oct (using 95RON + 98RON fuel) for B48 320i.

I read in other posts that knocks when cruising/normal driving is normal but with this amount of knocks, I'm concerned...

This is the answer, do WOT logs and look for knock if you are concerned

Completely normal for these types of engines.. with air fuel targets at part throttle its 100% normal... part throttle logs are useless for checking knock as well... Wot only

Np, there is a much longer in-depth explanation but I hate spending that kind of time being helpful on the internet.

Do some wot logs from about 2500 to at least 6500rpm in 3rd and if possible in 4th too. If not 3rd is fine.

I can't confirm, but it should. All of the available LPFP upgrades use a stock top hat.

Edit: There have been instances where the connector on the top hat melts. BM3 no longer recommends running the kit on a upgraded pump.

G series fob on a f series f32

Hi gUys

i am new to the forum i have had several BMWs through out my life i am not technically minded at all i don't even know if this post is in the right f series discussion.

this might be the dumbest question ever on this forum but is it possible to use a G series key fob on an f series bmw f32 420D m sport. i fined the f32 fob a bit bland and cheap looking i love the g series fob its way nicer is it possible to get one of the g series to work with the f32 4 series.

any advice would be gratefully received.

thank guys if i have this is the wrong discussion please advise.
