I tried this and it didn't seem to work for me, I could not activate the rear and top view cameras at speed, here is what I have.

From the sounds of it D_SCHWELLE_1 and 2 need to be set to wert_02 or is it wert_03?

REM > 3203 > PdcParkMasterVar > V_OFF_PF_R > UNKNOWN / Werte = FF
REM > 3203 > PdcParkMasterVar > V_SCHWELLE_1 > UNKNOWN / Werte = FF
REM > 3203 > PdcParkMasterVar > V_SCHWELLE_2 > UNKNOWN / Werte = FF
REM > 3203 > PdcParkMasterVar > D_SCHWELLE_1 > wert_03 / Werte = 00
REM > 3203 > PdcParkMasterVar > D_SCHWELLE_2 > UNKNOWN / Werte = FF
REM > 3201 > ? > CUT_OFF_SPEED > Werte = FF
TRSVC > 3000 > SV_Activate_Speed_Limit > UNKNOWN / Werte = 00
TRSVC > 3000 > SV_Deactivate_Speed > UNKNOWN / Werte = 00

For D_SCHWELLE_2, when I set it to wert_03 / werte=FF it never seems to save both values, there appears to be a conflict between those values or my car just doesn't like it. It won't let me have wert_03 and werte=FF together it will either be wert_03 / werte=00 or wert_00 / werte=FF.

Any ideas?

Change Value. Then Apply (icon above box). Then Save.

I should have clarified, the values don't stay when I "code FDL". I apply the changes then back out of the CAFD and "code FDL". When I go back into the CAFD the changes did not stick and it will be either wert_03 / werte=00 or wert_00 / werte=FF.

Sounds like you forgot to select "Apply" icon. It is better to Re-"Read Coding Data," to pull file from vehicle and see if coding took.

The only ways coding does not stick are the following:
  • Forgot to select "Apply" icon after changing werte
  • Made the mistake of changing Werte value and dropdown menu
  • Did not save before going back to "Expert Mode > Coding"
  • Used "Code" rather than "Code FDL"
  • Selected werte values that are outside of storage bitmask criteria

I've been selecting apply and saving after changing the werte value before backing out.

Here is my order of operations;
-select wert_03 from dropdown - click save icon at top
-edit werte from 00 to FF - click apply then click save icon at top
-back out of CAFD by clicking on the green arrow up top
-code FDL
-read coding data on REM then go back into the CAFD to confirm changes

I've even did the "save and code FDL" process after selecting werte_03 then went to update the wert to FF then did the "apply, save, and code FDL" process after and it still didn't save.

Perhaps I will have to try wert_02 and see what happens.

Change Werte value or Drop-down, not both. Werte value is what ultimately matters.

I was able to get this to work on my car tonight (finally). Basically whatever I updated in REM I also updated in PMA since I have Park Assistant, I used werte=FF. Interestingly, immediately after I coded it, it did not start working. After the car sat for a little bit, it started to work on the next start up. Only downside is that I have to manually turn off the rear cam/top view after reversing so now biggie.

Below is what I have now;

REM > PdcParkMasterVar > V_OFF_PF_R > Werte = FF
REM > PdcParkMasterVar > V_SCHWELLE_1 > Werte = FF
REM > PdcParkMasterVar > V_SCHWELLE_2 > Werte = FF
REM > PdcParkMasterVar > D_SCHWELLE_1 > Werte = FF
REM > PdcParkMasterVar > D_SCHWELLE_2 > Werte = FF
REM > CUT_OFF_SPEED > Werte = FF

PMA > PdcParkMasterVar > V_OFF_PF_R > Werte = FF
PMA > PdcParkMasterVar > V_SCHWELLE_1 > Werte = FF
PMA > PdcParkMasterVar > V_SCHWELLE_2 > Werte = FF
PMA > PdcParkMasterVar > D_SCHWELLE_1 > Werte = FF
PMA > PdcParkMasterVar > D_SCHWELLE_2 > Werte = FF
PMA > CUT_OFF_SPEED > Werte = FF

TRSVC > SV_Activate_Speed_Limit > Werte = 00
TRSVC > SV_Deactivate_Speed > Werte = 00

Thanks all for the help, greatly appreciated.

For what purpose do you use this feature? Do you just drive around with cameras always active?

There really isn't a good reason for it to be honest. I plan to use it as a supplement to the rear view mirror while in motion. I personally will not be driving around with them on all the time, would only turn them on while in motion occasionally.

You could also raise distance/speed cutoff without maximizing it so that you can still use for a longer period and it will still auto-turnoff.

Cameras are not that great of quality in higher speed motion. Recording would not be much help.

No need to turn it off, pushing a button for another function, like Nav, will switch the screen over to it.

The downside is how the coding works. If you do not want it to turn off, code this function. If you do, then do not.

Make sure they are compatible. You use non-OEM camera and may end up paying more for multimedia interface so it can connect to headunit.
