NorCal BMW Driver Giving Owners a Bad Rap

Was on my way to work this morning. Driving on 280 I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a guy in a white F30 rolling down the window and flipping someone off. Then he just floored it, cut across 2 lanes (almost hitting me in the middle lane), and then jumped on the emergency lane to pass a bunch of cars and then cut in between cars across several lanes.

Later on when he slowed down and traffic caught up, I saw that it was a new 340i with cf rear spoiler and tint. The dealer plate was still on (BMW of Fremont). Not sure if the guy just got it or he was delivering a car to a customer but that asshole was driving like a jackass. Could have hurt someone.

Pretty certain a delivery guy would not risk his job and a customer's job like that, so it is most likely a new owner. Nonetheless, that is stupid and extremely dangerous to everyone around him. Guess we'll never shake off that bad reputation

What would you guys do when encountering someone like that? Not much right? I mean the guy could be crazy.

Good practice to avoid any road rage incident. One can try to call it in, but LEOs won't do much if anything.

^ +1

I've had an incident where a pickup truck was on my right trying to squeeze me into the parked cars on my left. Better idea is to just slow down to lose him or turn out.

Car looked nice and I hope it was just a one off incident and that's not how he actually drives on a regular basis. Haha
