I do about 6 miles a day and get over 30mpg. Mind, that is not in any kind of traffic and very little stopping.

I got 31mpg which is over 30, on a good day, so I'm more than happy with 22mpg from 3 litre a petrol car, I always seem to be going uphill in both directions lol

That is low. I get 19-20 mpg on my commute but it's a 5 mile, Sport+, Flappy Paddle hoon (and I do just that most days), but over 8000 miles now my average is 29.7mpg. And I tend to use the engine to it's best abilities whenever possible

Aha! Instant justification for going out for a long solo hoon...you need to improve your overall MPG. How could the missus possibly argue??
