Coolant problem

I have a 2013 F30 which is having a coolant problem. I replaced the expansion tank and added coolant to the normal levels. I was driving the other day and out of no where the low coolant came on. I stopped and checked but the coolant level was still where it always has been. What is the problem? Can someone please help me.

If the sensor says the coolant is low when it's not the fault is probably with the sensor.

Did you purge the Air out of the Car after changing the Expansion bottle?
Press Start (without pressing Brake)
Turn AC OFF
Turn Interior Temp to Max
Interior Fan speed to 1.
Press Gas Pedal all the way to the floor for 10 Sec.

Now Water Pump will start a purge cycle.
Keep Drive Door Open, do not close all the way.
total Purge time 11 to 12 min.

Do it twice if you want.

Does that mean "keep driver's door open?"

Yes Keep Driver Door open, or do not let it latch closed.
Also Leave Key in Center cup holder area.
Why, cause I found that if I did that, if I close the door, the car shuts off, everything and stops the purge cycle.

You tube it and google it, lots of videos and guides.

Keep Expansion Bottle Lid, Partially ON.....just lay it on top, does not need to closed.
open it, when ever and see the cool bubbles coming up....LOL

I must be doing something wrong because the coolant level low still keeps on showing on my screen.

Mine was doing the same thing.
My car wasn't overheating, but my coolant would always get low.
I changed the thermostat and bled the coolant system and it fixed my problem.
