Timing Chain Oil Pump Drive Chain Warranty Extension (N20/N26)

Just got a letter from BMWNA, theyre extending coverage on my 2013 F30 to 7/70k for the above. Anyone else get the letter? Anyone have premature failure of their chain? Im at 45k miles, no issues with the F30 beyond fluids and tires.

It links to the N20/N26 forum, where there are numerous threads on this subject going back years, many of them recently updated with the information about the warranty extension.

I got my letter yesterday, but it's a moot point for me, as I'm CPO'd until 100,000 miles.

Any ideas about what driving behaviour might , ah, accelerate chain deterioration and require chain replacement within the warranty period.

One option is to keep revving the car past red line during cold start.
