Phoenix, AZ help!

been looking for a shop to install some lowering springs on my car for a reasonable price. Anyone know of a good shop/mechanic? so far ive called around and best deal i can find is $450 out the door with alignment; which isnt bad, but i still feel like its a bit pricey. dont want to do it myself but its not out of the question. Any help is appreciated!

AZ Euros in Mesa, AZ! I've taken my last 6-8 cars to Christian at AZ Euros. The first car he started modding for me was a complete Dinan Stage 3 E36 M3. As I type this, I'm on a family vacation in the Philippines with my wife. My car is sitting at AZ Euros getting a BM3 tune, OBD Agent Device, VMR wheels, Michelin PS4 tires, Hi flo cat, fmic, and chargepipes installed. The current build is on a 2015 335i M-sport.
He's done work on my previous Audi S4, E46 M3, Stage 3 Golf R, E92 335i, 987.2 Boxster, etc...
Great guy, reputable shop, not overly pricey (think Dynocomp), and clean/reliable work.
Let him know Emil sent you, you're essentially guaranteed good work at a reasonable cost.
You cant go wrong here...

$450 with alignment seems pretty good. 3-3.5 hours of labor, plus ~$75-80 for the alignment.

I don't think that seems to far out of wack, especially if you want it done right.

How long do you think it would take you to do on your own?

I had access to a rack and air tools when I installed my KW's and it still took me a full morning to disassemble and install everything.

Did my own springs ($250) and for a first time it took me roughly 3-4 hours taking my time. The rears were about 30 minutes start to finish, the front took the lion share. That said, $450 is very reasonable if you are paying standard shop rates. I am not sure I trust my car with anyone offering discount hourly rates that I cant find a history of customers from. Maybe call AZ Euros and get a competitive quote?

I am guessing you initially called Parts Score?

Great, thanks for the tip! We have two in the garage, the wife 2013 328i (only 30K) is a kind of sloppy on the suspension and handling, any suggestion on a set of springs that will help with the handling? Appreciated any input..

If you decide you'd like to save the money and do it yourself let me know. I've got all the tools and a huge shop fan to keep us cool in the garage. I'm in Ahwatukee.

Thanks Hollywood, will need to read up a bit, Wonder if I want to have a firmer ride or response, do I need to swap the coils and the struts or just the coils may do the job...

Very easy job. Just the coils need to be replaced unless your shocks/struts are bad.

I used Parts Score in the Scottsdale air park to install KW coil overs and trailing arms on my '14 335iX. They did a great job at a great price. I've heard Apex Customs does good work in Tempe and Phoenix, too.

Ended up doing Dinan springs on my 340i this weekend. All went well after some initial trial and error on the first strut. Ended up not removing the struts, but using a jack to hold the lower control arm in place while removing the top strut bolt, then slowly loading the spring. Easier and imo safer than using a spring compressor.
