Got the news that my car is finally on its way to the dealer! Apparently some of the ED cars have been having issues with North American maps being loaded to the nav at the VPC.

Just got news that my car went into production!

Order Date: 8/11/14 (Was pushed back because options were changed multiple times)
Started Production Date: 9/11/14
Paintshop: 9/16/14
End Production Date: 9/18/14
Exit to Port: 9/20/14
Loaded on Shipping Vessel: 9/26/14
ETA to Baltimore: 10/10/14

Hopefully it will be here before November!

Lucky you. I placed my order the last week of July with a PROMISE of a third week of August production date. Right. My car still hasn't even gone into production.

Thinking of canceling and looking for something different. Ridiculous run around from TWO different BMW dealerships. (I don't mind waiting, but this has taken much of the fun out of ordering a new car through BMW.)

Don't cancel! Hang in there! You'll love it(from what I hear)!

Oh man tell me about it, the wait is unbearable. But the looking for the car was the least pleasant for me. I went to a total of 3 BMW dealers in the Chicagoland area. First 2 didn't seem like they want my business (terrible customer service). 3rd One was the charm, Dealer was great and felt right at home with my SA. Spent 6 hours designing my F30 and picking out options.

My new status from bmwusa phone number says I have arrived at the port of exit. From what I've read here on forums the phone status is usually a day or two behind so I'm hoping to be on a boat already if not very soon. *fingers crossed

Heard from BMW that my car will start production mid February 2015 or week 6. I really don't understand how BMW can take so long to build a car.
