Where to get inspection done?

Do any of yous take your vehicle to the dealership for state emissions and inspection??

Trying to decide between a jiffy lube or dealership. Jiffy is way cheaper

Yes .. every year 70 bucks or so for some one to check tires / brakes / lightbulbs /emissions. I hate it.

For this car I go to a decent indy shop I know the guy personally and trust. They have to pull the wheels and I wouldn't trust some hack to get the wheel bolts in without crossthreading. I've had two snapped wheel studs in the past due to shit shops for state inspection running the nuts on with an impact.

If I didn't know the guy already had the tools I'd put the wheel hanger pins and the plastic socket in the cup holder and let them know.

MRG wheel stud conversion is in the mail I am sick of these bolts.

I'd never go to the dealer .. but I'd go there before some big box as you'd have less to worry about and just an inspection shouldn't be that price gouged.

PA is really dumb putting the stickers on the front. It's almost impossible to get pulled over with expired inspection. A friend of mine went from 07-15 with 06 stickers and finally got nabbed for it. $25 fine or something. vs over 500 to get it in every year.

I'm in Philly too. Literally anywhere is okay for inspection. I go to Firestone and they're perfectly fine. I wanna get a catless DP so i have to look for Ann underground pass that'll pass me for a bit extra. Also watch for tints because some shops are critical with that.
