I would rather have the M4 motor... but your car does look great.

I know this will be taken as an insult and I won't get a serious answer from the OP, but I really want to know why. I mean what exactly went through your head that made this seem like a good idea? Now you have a car that looks like an M4 and costs as much as an M4, but cannot perform like an M4, is not as nice inside as an M4, and is going to be impossible to resell. When people want to chat about your M4, you'll have to tell them it's fake.

I'm not assuming you care about what other people think, and you certainly don't owe anyone an explanation of why you do what you do with your money, but I'm genuinely curious here...

First, the car does look very nice with the mods. I do understand the desire to mod a car to make it unique - I have made mods to my car so that (i) the audio system is awesome and (ii) the car goes faster. What I don't get is the desire to make X (435i) look exactly like Y (M4). As someone said, for the money spent, you could have just bought an M4. Now you have a car that looks like an M4 but performs like a 435i - this is what causes many readers to scratch their heads.

I would have gone with a special paint job or some other mods to make the car truly unique looking rather than a "wannabe" look. But as someone else said, whatever floats your boat - its not how I would spend my money but its your money and you can spend it as you see fit. Does look very sharp.

OP was enjoying this car for 8-9 months before he would have gotten a "first wave" M4.

Maybe he has some regrets about not waiting those 9 months. Maybe this is his way of coping with that decision?

Except for any badging he may have to say otherwise, 98% of the people who see the car won't know or care WTF it is anyway. 1% will think it's an M4, the other 1% will post here.

think if this was done on a 435iGC, it would've been a different story

No M4 mirror?? Just curious as to why didn't you get the M4 mirrors installed when everything else was swapped.

On the main page.

I see nothing wrong with this, on previous generations this was often done.

+1 see you get it! Same thing happened when E9x M's came out! The regular E9x's were getting M3 front ends. I see nothing wrong with it.

If it's a 435i, keep it a 435i.
Don't make it what it's not.

People are hella judgmental on here, lol.

Back on topic this, do you happen to have to Part Numbers for an M4 Conversion?

The M4 Front Fenders are wider, what fitment are you running in the front now?

Did you just throw spacers on to make it sit more flush?

Looks amazing. All you need is the mirrors, carbon rapped roof and ur done. Great job. Love the fact you don't have an M4 badge. I did the same with my E36 but is was much cheaper to make that model look like a M3. 😃

A special opportunity presented itself and OP capitalized on it. (I'm friends with OP). I'm not sure as to why so many of you guys are hating on it. Many E9x 3 series owners did the same thing!! They have replica E9x m3 fronts ends. Except OP used OEM parts. There will be more f3x's with M3/M4 bumpers there's already a few at LTMW getting them done. Just the market guys. Similar to the 1M bumper craze. As long as they don't advertise as a M3/M4 I'm fine with how they want to mod their cars.
