F30 vs E90

E90 vs F30!
After driving F30's and watching them on YouTube, I noticed a difference in indicator click (or turn signal if you're American) from the E90.
So here is a poll asking for your preference!

I find the E90 has a deeper tick and is more pronounced whereas the F30 is
much lighter and weaker sounding. What do you think?

Here are two video's in which you can hear the E90 and F30's indicator tick so you can fill in the poll having heard the two!

The first is the E90 - my E90 on this occasion! At 0:05 and 0:15 are the indicator ticks. Apologies for the background noise but as you can probably tell, I didn't have this purpose in mind when creating the video!

And here is the second - an F30 328i, whose indicator tick is constant throughout the video. This guy also didn't create the video with this purpose in mind, but it all works out well!

Personally, I prefer the E90's tick but that said, I'm not disliking the F30...

I ALSO WISH THEY IMPLEMENTED THE COOL LED INDICATORS LIKE ON MY E90 LCI!!!
Lazy styling so they can update the LCI easier...

Yeah that is one of the best things they ever did to the E90 when they updated it! That and the new kidney grille without the funny chrome snout thing on the bonnet. And the new bonnet. Or "hood".

About that tick, I don't care much of how they sound but one thing I do know: it is way too loud lol

Yeah c'mon! Thats what i like about this place, you can be as... Sad... as you want!

I thought it was suprising how different the sound was. I wish manufactures paid this much attention to the little details such as thing one.
The LED indicators really are a nice touch, shame they didnt do LED brake lights as well. Im quite dissapointed with that actually

I think i prefer the bonnet of the e90... Nicer sculpturing of the lines

Yeah my heart sunk just a little bit when I saw that the tail indicators were a single halogen bulb in orange casing :/. Ugh, it just frustrates me - it could've been perfect!! So close! Why why why let it down on the small things that make such a difference?

Maybe the LCI will have LEDS....the indicator tick sounds pretty similar in both the F30 and the E90

One thing I have noticed with the indicators is that when they are used they do not have a detente at a lower position but just spring back to their original position. I found this quite unusual. Has this been the case with previous 3 series or other BMs. I'm obviously a noob in BMs. Thanks.

thats what we mean though, why not do it for f30? its not like they've not got the technology to do so, theyve done it for years. even the e46 had led brake lights (i think...)

E46 LCI did, yep! F10 (pre-LCI) has LED. X1 LCI does not.

Probably because of costs. BMW is notorious cutting costs in various areas.

The F30 has a very loud and annoying sound when the turning signal is on. I hope they change it in some kind of software update.
