Coding Warranty, F30 Newbie
Greetings,
Last year I purchased the Carly adapter and coded my mirrors to fold, as well as change a picture of the Dash. Since then I learned that I am barely scratching the surface with the ESYS. Currently my F30 is still under warranty and i have to take it in for 70K checkup. I wanted to know if anyone has any experience in coding their car and taking it back to the dealership for warranty. I am thinking of resetting everything to default and clearing the logs, before I take it in, but will that be enough, or can they still see I coded. Any advice is greatly appreciated. As long as you don’t touch your engine, you will be fine.

You should not have any worries, unless you actually phisically modify your unit then it can change something, but software only does not, unless you do chiptuning.

so far so good mate, most SA around here in my country doesnt even take coding as warranty void cause.
i'd suggest you find your friendly and easy going SA if you want to be extra sure

Thanks everyone for your help. I took it to the dealership for the 70k warranty checkup. I did reset the folding mirrors( a little paranoid), but didnt clear the logs. All went well. Thanks again!
