Just buy the F80, from someone who has an F30 and an F80, it's night an day. I DD my F80 and I love every second of it. Driving my wife's F30 can feel numb compared to the joy an F80 can bring. The lack of turbo lag makes it a totally different drive. There's plenty for sale of the F80 forums. IF SCH scares you, just spend 4k to do the hub and tune it to get 500-600 reliable hp every day if you choose.

Problem with upgraded turbo is the list of things that have to happen with it:

DP
Intercooler
Charge pipes
xHP (If auto)
Upgraded clutch (if 6MT)
Tires
Custom Tune
Crank Hub (yes still possible)
xFI fueling upgrade
JB4 (If stacking for PI)

Add the cost of the turbo and you've spent as much as upgrading it to an F80 and getting BM3. Just checkout the bm3 enthusiasts facebook page of the number of people complaining about weird CEL they get from upgrading the F30 and compare it to the minimal F80 errors (Usually user error during flashing)

Keep the F30 stock, tune the F80, and spend the rest of your time and money with a beer.

You'll never have enough power. The mod bug is virulent. Accept that and you'll be happier and your wallet will be fatter.
