Cool p00456, leak detection module, Canada

Hi all,
I have a CEL and pulled the codes.
P00456, (same code stored 3x but one was permanent leading me to believe the unit has failed. I know this is a know issue in the US and BMWUS has an extended warranty. However, in Canada there is no such thing, I call BMW Canada customer service and of course they told me to take the car to stealership to diagnose. I was wondering if anyone knows where the unit is located (engine bay, near fuel tank....), and if anyone can point me to DIY post to change it out. Yes I know I should do a smoke test and no it is not the gas cap (would not result in a permanent code).
2013 320i xdrive f30, N20 engine.
Thanks

I read your post a few days back. Seems no one knows or cares since it is covered in US. Taking my other BMW to the dealership in two weeks for service (under warranty). Will ask them and get back to you.
Until then hope someone answers.

On TIS I think I saw it near the fuel tank under the car.
Can you take pics of the repair and share.
Also, I think the part number is
16 137 333 302.
Thanks

Job done. I will post pictures later today but it's very simple.

Remove rear right wheel
Remove fender liner (8mm and 10mm nuts)
You'll see the sensor at the right
Remove 2 t20 screws
Remove both pipe

1 hours job if you are super slow

Awesome. It will take me an hour as I tend to drink when working on my car.
What was the part number? Also, assuming it solved the CEL?

That’s the part. I called BMW yesterday and it was $81. And not in stock.
Gonna try Germanparts on Tuesday.

Okay. Just changed it.
Really easy but then I used a hoist. Took about 10 mins.
With the car up loosen plastic cover just ahead of rear right wheel. I didn’t remove the wheel or wheel liner.
Bend the plastic cover to access to leak detection module.
Remove the two screws that hold module to bracket.
Disconnect wiring harness.
Remove unit by disconnecting from the two hoses.
One hose is bigger than other so no chance to install wrong.
In my case the plastic dust cover stuck to the unit and I had to remove it and place on new unit.
Installation is in reverse order
I can’t upload photos as they seem to big to attach.
Pm me if you want them
