Do you intend to drive it, or use it for parts? I'd be comfortable parting out a flood car and selling off the bits that don't get hurt when wet. But a modern car is slathered in electronics that don't care much for being under water.

hehe, talk about an old thread,,

If I recall, they had all the cars gone by mid apr. They were going out almost as fast as they came in.

I did get one from Copart but not the very well maintained (but flooded and running) 328i vert. I did get a 2007 335i vert. that is in rough shape, but for $1,800 I am sure it will be worth it.

The good: Only 75,xxx miles, Totaled due to not too bad front collision, airbags NOT blown. Has an Injen intake setup.
The bad: The last owner was an a$$hole. Oil was 3.5 qts low. dirty as hell in the interior. Dinged up all over the body. An old rear hit was not fixed right so the trunk does not close properly so the top won't open, etc. It is running and so far I have flushed and changed the oil, pulled the front radiator support and cleaned the engine checking for issues. I am misfiring but one of the intercooler pipes was popped off from the wreck (fixed that). I put an H9 battery in it. ECU codes are misfire in Cylinder 2 but sometimes I get Cylinder 3 or a random cylinder. Shows up as code 0 instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6. I am confident I will get it in real nice shape for about $2,000 since I know how to do mechanical and body/paint work.
