What does In Transit mean in the Track My BMW app? "Your BMW is in transit. It won't be long now."

The completed step just before is At the port and the one immediately after is At the dealership.

Is At the port the European exit port and does in Transit mean that it is on the ship, or is my car heading from the NYC/NJ port of entry by car carrier to my dealer?

most likely European port. how long ago where you at port? though I seen it switch back on the phone or somewhere when it was being transported to dealer

O.K. thanks. So I would say that it is somewhere either on the ship or in NY/NJ or on the truck headed to my dealer.

Seems the status points do not allow me to pin it down more accurately than that.
