It must have been done for a reason. If someone wants to work with me, I can whip up a custom map fairly quickly.

Yeah thats the first thing I've noticed a tuner would have had to "recalibrate" there brains as it's totally different than your regular N55PWG cars. Many tuners just do a blanket tune to cover all cars. I like to tune on a per car, or car type basis. 6MT and 8AT requires different torque strategies for maximum smoothness.

Sorry, I'm don't think that answered my question :

You said it looks totally different than other BMWs on load and torque.

I asked is that a good thing or a bad thing (in comparisons to other BMWs)?

I would also be interested in a tune for the AH3. What do you need?

Could be both good & bad. From a tuning perspective to me, it is neither good, nor bad. Only time will tell as I get more experience from the AH3.

Send me tune requests I believe afranke you've already sent me one. Make sure the general stuff is being logged, and log Torque Request %, load actual %, and load target.

If you can log Engine torque also that would be useful.

If you can log stock car, as well as OTS in the various modes and make sure the logs are labeled that will help a bunch.

I'll get you some stock logs in the next day or two, the single OTS map for the AH3 isn't really fleshed out, so I'll try and get some logs without a limp mode in them.

I see you're in Irvine. I'm in San Diego and I can make the drive up there one day so you can tune the car up there if you have a shop or anything like that. Might go a little quicker if you have a car physically in front of you to tune!

No shop here. Been meaning to find a facility that can allow me to do bulk dyno time without charging the general hourly rate. If I can find a nice stretch of road, I wouldn't mind working with you on stuff here. Really lots of logs, and quick revisions will be the best way to remote tune.

Socal really isn't car friendly

How difficult is it just to add the burble to the AH3?

Hello all, I'm brand new to the forum, and have a completely stock black sapphire '13 AH3 MSport, built 6/13. I'm wanting to learn as much as I can about this car. I'm in the STL area.

From the ROM ver that franke sent me, not very difficult at all. I can do it in about 30 seconds.

BM3 has the tables exposed

Just found this post. Add me to the list of ActiveHybrid3 Owner willing to test for a tune. Haven't gotten BM3 yet, but leaning towards it. Don't know much about it as of yet.

Car is 2013 ActiveHybrid 3, PWG, JB4 Map 2, FMIC, Downpipe, chargepipe, Intake, LPFP stage 2. Out of DFW, Texas.

Unfortunately some bad news.. Your rom version is totally different than franke's car. Not only that many of the calibration values are different, and it's missing a critical table in order to activate burbles.

Let me start a channel with PTF and Halim and see if we can narrow this out.

If you have an ISTEP update available and know how to do this, we can probably see if that gives you a ROM version with more tables defined on BM3.
