Mine did just that, after turn off and on it was fine, regardless, i took it to the dealer so they can fix it or at least documented it. Not cool, just got the car 5 days before this happened. |

Dealer called and said that it seems that it was a 1 time thing and that they are waiting for BMW to either reprogram something or replace parts. Can't wait to get my car back. |

Today was my day.... about 39,7XX km got my first drivetrain malfunction. Started up and left home, went about 500 m and bam. Parked and restarted with no issue. Already have an appointment set up for 10 April for oil change etc. and will have everything double checked.
No tune, everything stock. Will report back in a couple of weeks. |

Weird... this is happening to me as well... It never happened stock, only with tune, but same exact thing. Hard acceleration and power just dies and have to quickly pull over and turn it off and back on....
I was thinking it was cause of the tune, but seems like it is not just me |

I've had this happen twice under WOT, both times less than 20 miles till empty. SA says the fuel was probably sloshing around and the pump couldn't get enough enough fuel.

Someone else said this earlier in the thread: I have a cold start exhaust rattle. Only happens for the first couple minutes then it goes away. I posted this issue in the AWE exhaust thread and another kind user told me this was normal, and it was the midpipe making more noise due to being non-resonated.
However, I'm sure I would've noticed it the next morning after install, but didn't. It took a few weeks before the noise become apparent. Could something have come loose? Rattles on a $55k+ car and a $2k+ exhaust shouldn't be 'normal' IMHO. However, if it is, it's not that big of a deal as it's short-lived, but kinda embarrassing for the first couple of minutes if I have passengers. Luckily, I blast music as soon as I get in so that helps lol.

Thanks for the tip. It seems the most probable cause is an exhaust flap rattle and I could perform the golf tee mod, however, I thought an aftermarket exhaust doesn't include flaps? That's the part that is confusing me. Sorry, I'm a complete BMW scrub.

In 2 weeks I'll hit my one year Welt pickup anniversary, current mileage 9k and only a few issues with my 2016 340i:
1) Low coolant October of 2016. Took it to dealer and they put more in. No problems since. 2) Navigation/cluster freakout. My thread is around here somewhere. Updated software. no problems since. 3) Door seal creaks. Will be taken care of on first maintenance oil change. 4) Temperature sensor is broken. Will read temperature from when car was originally turned off and then takes 8-10 minutes to adjust to current temperature. Example: Turn off car at 830am, 39F. Get into car at 5pm, 55F outside. Turn on car, temp reads 39F until 10 minutes later when its now reading 55F. It will slowly increase temperature as I'm driving down the road. Seems to impact the HVAC cooling during the summer, where the car does not cool that much until the temperature reads current temp. Oddly, during the summer months, the car always reads 79F even when its clearly 90F+ outside. First oil change scheduled and they will look at it then.

I have the squeak also and I plan to see what the dealer does when I go in for service in a couple months. German dealers seem to be better at taking care of and making sure everything is running as you wish compared to U.S. dealers.
