Hi all bimmers, I am from China, My car is 2017 F30 330iM.
The suspension is different with yours in America. It's like an SUV...
So I decided to replace with MPS.
As I know on Getbmwparts, there are 2 different MPS. One is for Cars up to 2015, part number ends with 980, the other is for from 2015 and on, part number ends with 927. And definitely I need 927. But it's much more expensive in China market. And many F30 with B48 owners don't know the difference. Installed 980 MPS.
Can any one help me on this? I really need to know is it ok for my car to install 980 MPS.

980 = 3 bolts top hat and i believe 927 = 5 bolts top hat. your top hat has 5 bolts so 980 top hat will not fit to your car. Maybe you could buy 980 and just 927 top hats and swap, but I'm not sure of compatibility. Or use your stock top hats on 980, again I'm not sure of compatibility.

I'm almost positive the only differences in the kit are the top hats themselves so getting another set of those should work. Not sure what the cost of top hats are in China but we can get a set of Lemforder ones for around 130-140 USD.

Thanks for the reply. I had talked with a friend who owns a tuner shop. He told me that the differences are the top hats and damping. The shock absorber are slightly different, but the springs are same. But he said the damping can be ignored. And we can install with the original top hats I have already on. I am not sure if it is true. The reason I choose MPS over coil overs is I don't believe it's easy to find someone can adjust the right position in China. Many recommended me KW V3. I won't take it. I just want the oem set and I believe bmw won't let me down. I mean I like F32, feels like E90. I just want my F30 drives like that, or close to that. Maybe i will go with 980 like my friend suggested. I hope the top hats won't break.
