OEM 405m 20" refurbished alloys for sale with tyres

Some of you may know my story about getting the alloys lightly refurbed as the previous owner hadn't kept up to sealing them etc. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the refurb as (A) they sprayed them a lighter colour (B) the lacquer job wasn't really that good (a few marks from being disturbed during drying) and (C) one of the wheels has had 3 attempts on it and is showing where the spokes join (looks like bulges but actually it's where the fascia has been diamond cut a little lower than the spokes).

The alloys have been fully cleaned. You'll get all 4 alloys, 4 Pirelli p zero rft's and a set of new M gel badges as the original ones were machined off during refurb (one of the Pirelli's is literally brand new, had on driven on it lightly for a week).

As I say these are genuine OEM BMW 405M 20" alloys, just refurbed.

Due to the size and weight they will be a collection only job, based in between York & Leeds (in a villages called Church Fenton).

Wouldn't it be easier if you stated roughly what you wanted for these as most won't know what there worth in there condition thanks,

I honestly couldn't say as I don't have access to measuring the older three tyres until Friday night, the only option I can offer right now is for you to check out the photos I uploaded - there's a photo for each tyre included.

Had quite a lot of interest on these - PLEASE.. make sure you've read my post fully, I have had so many pm's asking about location, price, photos etc.. all of the details are explained in my original post.

I have one potential buyer, however I haven't heard anything back since the offer so these are still around if anyone can counterbalance or top the offer - £800. Ideally collection asap would be preferred as I need them out of my parent's house for the space.

These are genuine £3099 alloys needing some minor love to make them what they were again.

Hi can I ask a few questions please, the alloy that's been turned down on the outter rim lower then the spokes, does this affect the strength of the alloy ?

Also I have read in your previous thread about these alloys that you had a issue with one of the rims being sharp and cutting into the tire, has this now been solved and how ?

Also you stated they had been re sprayed, are they still as dark as the orbit grey og's on the rear spokes , sorry hard to tell from the photos ?

Haha - at least you've got some common sense

The strength - it shouldn't be making it weaker as it's only a very slight difference in height, it's just the lacquer that is over emphasising it.

There's an over lip on one, if it really bothers you then you might want to dremel it down, but after talking to BMW about it; it turned out to be the valve that was loose and not related to the lip (they tightened it up for me and solved that issue).

Ironically the worse of the problems happen to all be on one wheel. You can see the outer edge that hasn't been shaved off with a dremel yet (this also is the area that needs some extra lacquer spraying on as you can see it's been missed).

Are they dealer fresh or previously owned? If your answer is the second one then whack them on eBay for a quick sale? :P They're selling for roughly £1000 I think.

Then buy these? haha, I should become a sales guy.

They bran spankers mate , guy I bought from just bought new 330 and upgrading to 20" so got these very good price

I am very tempted but too much going on at the moment so leave it for now but thanks though mate

Would it be in anyway more appealing if I had these spray completely instead? It would eradicate any diamond cut issues.. Only a thought as a lot of people on here tend to be spraying them completely black now.

Obviously I would be looking at raising the price well above £800 if that were the case as there wouldn't be any issues with them anymore.

I'm a little confused as to what you mean by that way.

The 405m finish is diamond cut - the place that refurbed them for me did an ok job, but then the lacquer cracked because it wasn't dried properly, so they took another attempt at it for me (started from scratch for some reason) and messed up, the colour and finish is off as you can tell.. though I seem to be seeing a lot of people spraying them this gun metal colour now. The garage that did it wanted another go but I refused to let them near them again considering they're £3k alloys.

If they were fully gunmetal, I would certainly be interested in the set with tyres. The only bit I'm unsure about are those incisions (or that's how it appears in the picture).
