Thanks for the great tool, Farkle. Using it I tested the old 1:3 ratio from the E8/9X chassis to find it was perfect for my 6MT 328i @ 1.06Hz. I almost went with the rates (6k/16k) from the Ohlins kit, but 1.00Hz seemed too far from stock.
6k 8" Front 18k 8" Rear

[QUOTE=mixmastermike;28587124]I realize that this is an old thread... just wondering if anyone has a copy of the calculator that they would mind sharing?
It would appear that the original link no longer works. The link still works, just not directly. If you long press and copy it then paste into your browser it will get you the file. Something about bimmerpost doesn't allow a direct link to execute http://www.fatcatmotorsports.com/FCM...ulator_V1.xlsx Suggest visiting their website too. There's a lot of great information there about what a good suspension setup needs to do.

Hi,
Thank you everyone for the data and insights. Special thanks to Farkle for the hard work. Came across Cusco Street A coilover for BMW f30 with spring rate 4kg/12kg as standard. The rear can be changed to 11 or 14. I drop the 10kg as it will not give flat ride. https://www.cusco.co.jp/en/news/_cus...lease_str.html Has anyone used Cusco coilover before? There is a dyno test for it for civic on YouTube and was "voted" better than bilstein and bc. |
