2019 440 Xi con discounts and 2020?
Hi. I was thinking of buying a 440 xi convertible.
I see there is a $5750 ?rebate off msrp for financing. So, how does that work? The msrp say 68k, drops to 62250? And then u can get a discount off of that? I plan on putting down 25-30k. What kind of discount should I ask for? Then, today, I saw a 2020 in a Long Island web site. Are they out. Is there much difference in 2020 vs 2019. I googled it but I couldn't see any comparisons. Thanks in advance for your help john |

I am told no difference 2020 v 2019. Buying a 2019 440 can myself. Decent discount and a bit of loyalty money ....killer lease rate....couldn’t resist. Even ordered some 20” 405 wheels and will use 19” with snows for the winter. 11 years since I had a hard top convertible and looking forward to it.

So a lot of times dealers will advertise cars on their website saying it's significantly lower than msrp, but there's lot of caveats. Sometimes they include rebates you may not be eligible for (like a student or military discount, because what are the odds your both), then they may not include the destination delivery fee. Another trick they may use is offering a large rebate/discount but you only get that rebate if you finance through them.
My suggestion is to tell them you don't want to finance through them and negotiate off of that price and make them go as low as you can, and then at the very end tell them you hanged your mind and want to finance through them and then have them apply that discount on top of the low price you already negotiated. I recently did that with my wife's GTI, I wanted to pay cash the whole time and they told me that I couldn't get it for the price they advertised and that it would be $2k more so I said that's okay, let's just get the best price we can and at the end I told them I'd finance it to get that extra $2k off and then I paid off the loan 3 months after I bought the car. |

I recently did the same. Bought a almost new BMW trade-in at an Audi dealership and financed through Audi and it was cheaper than paying cash. Paid the loan off and it saved me thousands. Strange system but thats the way they set it up.

I've seen interior pictures from some dealer listings that the steering wheel is actually non M sport style on a car with M Sport Trim, and then the steering wheel has the M emblem on it. So weird... |

Yes but that's because yours is the 2019 model year. For 2020 BMW did make up this "M Leather Steering Wheel", which is basically the non M style steering wheel with leather and the M badge on it. Sh*tty as hell...

oh MY. Just looked at one for sale and noticed the wheel is different. Interesting that they used the same part number.

It looks like the F20 m sport steering wheel, which is a bit similar to the F25 m sport steering wheel. I actually like it, and prefer it over the F30 m sport steering wheel. It does look better with the black or carbon trim thought.
Edit: I think this steering wheel was an option for the F30 as well, as an "BMW individual collection" option.
