Share Your Bootmod3 Custom Burble Settings

The thread title says it all. I am curious to hear what custom burble settings everyone is running with their Bootmod3 tune. I’m not getting much activity on this thread over in the 2 series forums, so figured I’d reach out to my fellow 3 series owners with N55 engines.

Be sure to mention your downpipe + exhaust set up and which Bootmod3 map you’re running.

Here are my current burble settings below. 2016 M235 with stock downpipe, Dinan Resonator Delete, Dinan Exhaust. Stage 1 93 octane map. I’m pretty satisfied with the current set-up. Running fairly conservative settings at the moment with the stock downpipe, but plan to experiment more heavily once I add a catless downpipe.

Stock settings on any hardware setup. Only thing that might be better is completely off.

My settings were close to yours, went back to stock though, it's vanity has worn off on me.

There’s gotta be some more burble fans out there! Curious to hear what custom Bootmod3 burble settings people are running with catless downpipes?

Once I did my full exhaust I've switched to custom burbles, which is essentially a flame map lol. I only really use it at shows and with friends sometimes but tbh the OTS burbles got old after awhile...

Burbles is the lazy answer to a terrible sounding exhaust.

I don't do burble heard it messes up your turbos.

it may damage your catalytic converter if set too aggressive, but shouldn't damage the turbo.

Mine are set to OEM. That combined with a catless DP is enough without being too obnoxious.

Milan from Pro Tuning Freaks recommended not going above 5.6 on the burble aggression setting with stock catted downpipe.

Did you find the aggression & loudness of the burbles increase greatly when going from stock downpipe to catless even with the OEM burble settings?

I have the M-Performance exhaust too but as mentioned the DP made them much more noticeable.

Is this the same for an aftermarket hfc (Fabspeed). I have it sent to 5.7 lol

Probably similar precaution on the burble aggression setting with the HJS cats on the Fabspeed. May be a good idea to reach out to Pro Tuning Freaks to confirm. I would be curious to hear what they say regarding OEM vs high-flow cats. Let us know what you find out.

I recall reading Mike @X-PH has been running aggressive burble settings on stock cats with no problem.

Stage 2 AGG w/Fabspeed Cat + AWE Full Ex.

Comfort: 0 Aggression 0.1 Duration
(Duration wont go to zero lol)
Sport/Sport +: 0.9 Aggression 0.6 Duration
Min RPM: 1800
Max RPM: 5400
Max-Min Speed: 0-81

I often feather the gas pedal to make extra crackles and pops. Especially when in a tunnel😩. Feel like with these settings i have complete control over them, if that makes sense. Without the feathering input burbles sounds great on these settings once the cars completely warmed up. Sometimes get the jaguar f type crackles!

Asked PTF if its 'Safe' to run AGG Maps with the Fabspeed and they said Yes.

What are your settings for the flame map?
