F36 Tailgate/trunk/boot beep

Seems like a bit of an odd question, but only just got our 435i GC back from the dealer after 5 and a bit weeks while it had the heater core replaced...im sure the tailgate used to have beep when opening and closing...now its gone...is it a coding thing that needs to be redone...or is there a physical check I can do on the "speaker"?

Mine only beeps when closing it with a leg gesture.
