They weren't at my local sytner during covid but I wouldn't bother, they do more damage then good. I've got a sign now I hang from the rear view mirror saying do not wash.

Garage List
Tell them not to touch it

He goes in dirty and comes back dirty. Makes it easier to spot if anything’s been bumped as well

I work at a dealership for a different brand abs I always say not to clean the car whilst in for service or mot!
I’d rather take my own gear in abs do do it during/ after my morning shift on a Saturday

Yes the vac and wash is still available but if you cherish your paintwork make a point of telling them NOT to wash the car but they can vac it if it needs it.

I had mine serviced in June, BMW Vertu York have laminated "do not wash vehicle" signs that are put in your vehicle should you ask them not to wash it, what does that tell you!!

Hung a huge sign on my rear view when in for warranty work a few weeks ago.

Last time I had a car there it was during Covid times so they didn't wash them at all.

Just had the car two stage machine polished and paint corrected the weekend before hand.

Picked it up and thought nothing of it as the warranty work was all carried out as planned…until I notice on the drive home that the inside was vacuumed .. stopped at my work car park in the sunshine and was livid that the swirls I'd just paid to be corrected were back !

Nice long lines along the sides where they like to dry cars with the old rag they picked up of the floor and b pillars all swirly.

Fair play to them though , after a few rather heated phone calls and emails with pictures they apologised that the sign was missed and the valeters somehow managed to get their hands on it.

Sytner paid for the paint to be corrected again by my detailer.
