F30 Brake Pad Replacement

I'm looking to purchase brake pads from ECS tuning for my '13 F30 335i.

The car does have the M Sport package, however, it does not have the M Performance brakes. Would the pads below work fine?

Also, I'm at 30K miles, should the rotors be replaced as well or can I just have them resurfaced? Thanks!

30k isn't a lot of miles on rotors, if you can find a place that can resurface them sure. It's getting pretty rare to find someone that will do it. Just make sure they are still within spec after they are turned.

buy your pads and rotors from fcp euro and then cash in on their "lifetime warranty" aka replacement program when you wear them out.

At only 30k miles are you replacing the pads due to wear or for less noise, dust or better performance. Unless you are pretty aggressive braking, that is not many miles on those pads.

I'm at 93K on the originals and they are just now due.

Regardless, if getting new pads and the rotors have plenty of "meat" left, have them turned. If rotors will be close to min after being turned, replace rotors and pads as a set.

I second using FCP: www.fcpeuro.com/

I agree that 30K miles on the pads isnt' many miles, however, the "brake" light on the dash came up and upon looking at both front and rear pads, they do look quite worn down. I'll look into fcpeuro. Thanks for your help!

Holy cow 93k miles!? That’s a crazy amount of miles for pads to last! Do you downshift instead of brake or something?

I'm at 31k miles now and have had both front and rear pads replaced already. What's the point in buying a BMW if you aren't going to drive it like one?

I do downshift. The steptronic is normally in "Sport" and using paddles. Still stuck in my "manual mindset", I guess.

A lot of the mileage is highway up and down the East Coast.

I've always gotten great mileage out of my brakes unless I was tracking at Summit Point- then a different story
