From all replies I can see that it's a '' combination '' of many factors:

Power+Tires+Skill & Adding the LSD will be useful mainly for Track not street driving...

I will sure consider changing to better tires soon; the RFT will always be our main concern .. I have Hankook Ventus NON RFT in my F56 Mini Cooper and it's an excellent tire in all ways.

I have had the exact opposite experience with the S001's and the PS A/S 3+'s. I still think the S001's aren't great, but grip is significantly better off the line and in the bends now that I'm back to them. The A/S 3+'s are the best all-seasons I've had, but they certainly were not at summer-tire grip levels.

I wonder if Bridgestone is having quality control issues, I got good ones and you didn't. I had some Michelin's on my old RSX when I bought it new in '01 that were total crap. The dealership swapped my tires with the same ones as they had a service bulletin stating that some parts of the initial batch used on the early RSX-S's were "not to standards".

I'm going to have to agree. The A/S3+ is one of the best all seasons money can buy but it's not going to match the S001 in dry grip above 60F.
