Regarding the PPK, it actually gives more torque than a stock 35d up to around 4k revs, which let's be fair, is most of the time when driving a Diesel. The 335d and it's second turbo has a second wind (literally ) which carries the torque for longer.

Another factor in the xDrive / sDrive debate, is fuel economy. The xDrive does have a thirst about it.

Enjoy the 4 series, I wish I was in a position to swap out for a 4.......with M in the title
Hi NISFAN,

Very interesting re the torque - it's what I've got addicted to after all. Lots of happy choices ...

Interesting about the economy thing. I average 41mpg with ACS upgrade (where I got 37mpg) as standard. I don't think that's bad (and certainly better than 19mpg I got in M3!).

Funnily enough, on this tank I am on target to hit 700 miles. Took this when I got home this evening, 450 miles down and a little under half tank left (but we know half isn't half )

It is astonishing, my old Audi A4 2.0litre couldn't do that in a million years.

I am getting that in my 335xd... [corrected auto correct!]

In 2 tanks!

Lead foot. Live life.

I'd love another sdrive for the fun factor but have no doubt I would miss the monstrous amount of grip I enjoy today. It makes you so confident.

P'ah, grip........so overrated

Says he who wildly overstepped the rear end grip threshold only this week, ending in a monumental tank slapper. ......but the reason I prefer RWD.

I really must stop pushing buttons that require pushing for more than a few seconds.

Tell you what, it shows how roll-y or stiff your suspension is in a matter of seconds

Hah - everyone loves a good tank slapper! See I have to wait until it rains before I have a chance to play.

Yes my Subaru Sti was the same, took way too much provoking to drift in the dry, but would in the wet. I often wondered what a RWD Sti would have been like.....better for it or worse?

It was a phenomenal car, easily the most fun and competent car I have had for twisty back roads.

So will this not void my warranty?

Just sayin'
