Help with brake type

Car : 335 Xdrive M-Sport 2013 with grey brembo front (rotors seems to be 340mm but i'm not sure)

I'm trying to find the part number from Power stop web site but It gave 2 different part number. If I put model year 2014 with 340mm the part number for the rear brake pads is different (same car).

Did BMW changed the rear caliper after 2014?

2013:
Front Only Z23-1609
Rear Only Z23-1656

2014 :
Front Only Z23-1609
Rear Only Z23-1610

If you have the regular 335i gray calipers, then you need the Z23-1610.
Take a pic of the rear and post it up to be sure.

BTW Powerstop pads suck ass. Zero bite. Much better pads out there.

Thanks for the answer. Yes I have the grey Brembo in front . I don't have the msport brake option when I enter my vin to a vin decoder website.

I'll take a pic tomorrow , but I have the kind of metal tension clips on my rear calipers (included in the z23-1610 kit)

I don't have much option in Canada price vs quality. I got the front power stop drilled slotted rotors on Amazon warehouse deals for 75$ cad for both (hard to beat ). And now I just found the rear rotors slotted drilled with the pads and sensor for 125$ cad (super hard to beat lol ) all power stop. 65$ for the front pads. Basically I'm at 265$ for 4 rotors + rear and front brake pads and one rear wear sensor. I'll only be missing the front wear sensor

You think it will be worst then OEM brakes ?

OEM pads are actually very good for daily, decent cold bite and decent heat tolerance for some HPDE is possible. But they dust like crazy.

The PowerStop pads have zero initial bite, and less friction all around. So you will need to get use to the pedal input vs stock. They dont dust at all so thats a plus, but there are a lot of pads out there who dust less but have better bite.
Z23 pads or even the their Z26 "performance" pads are just Luxury/Comfort street pads. Very low bite so it takes more input, making for a smoother braking experience stop light to stop light. I did several 120-30mph braking tests on their Z26 pads, and got some fading on the last one. Horrific pads for autoX....but in AutoX you want nasty hard cold bites and that characteristic isnt very daily-friendly.

HPS 5.0, EBC reds, Stoptech's, etc all offer more bite with less dust than OE.
If cold bite is your thing, try HP+ but they dust.

From your description you have the standard F30 335 brakes which are grey front 4-piston Brembo calipers over 340mm x 30mm rotors and grey rear 1-piston Bosch calipers over 330mm x 20mm rotors.

There is often confusion with the brake pads because in different materials BMW at some point refers as "M Sport" to both the grey 340/330 standard brakes, and also to the 370/345 blue optional M Sport brakes.

The front 340mm and front 370mm calipers take exactly the same size pad with the same part number.

The rear 330mm and rear 345mm calipers take completely different pads.

The Powerstop pads are junk. You make be able to get away with using the rotors but I would go with Hawk 5.0 pads. They are superior in every way and less expensive than other aftermarket pads. Attached are F3x Hawk 5.0 part numbers

Thank you guys for all your advices.

I can return the front powerstop pads on amazon, keep the front and rear rotors, but I'll have to keep the rear pads also because they came with the rear rotors.

What you guys think if I put hawk 5.0 front pads and powerstop pads in the back? I'm not doing autocross, just daily drive the car with some spirited driving

It's not ideal to mix pads. Since the pads are new I'd just advertise them for sale and install Hawk 5.0 all around.
