Hi

Right now it only fits an iPhone 6 (without cover), and it only have the lightning plug (you will need an original apple lightning cable) no aux, but it is quite easy to adjust for other iPhones.
I am currently working on a small change, so when this is done. I can mailet it to you, if you send me an PM with a email address, then you only need to print it.

You didn't used the original GPS antenna?
I bought the splitter from AVIN so I can use original one.

I have been looking for something like this. Giving up a cupholder so that I can dock my iPhone x would be amazing.

I left the phone calls routed to idrive but deactivated the bluehtooth media audio on my phone and now the audio is coming clean from Android Auto, no cracking on google assistant and audio sounds cleaner.

3) Now i needed to improve audio response, So I used the equalizer on the Audio menu of the android side settings. I set mine to Bass: 5, Mid: -1, and Tre: 5, this will depends on your setup/speakers/preferences, etc. now the response is not FLAT.

4) to bring it up a notch, I installed "noozxoide eizo-rewire pro" from google play store, it doesn't require root. don't forget to change your default audio processor on Android, Settings>Audio>Music Effects otherwise it will continue to use the built-in android audio processor (this menu will only show up after installing a second audio processor like Noozxoide). Open Noozxoide and verify that it is running in the background (it shows up on the notification area), After this it should now start in the background by itself after each restart. There are a lot of digital presets and virtualizer that you can use, i was happy leaving all by default without the extra sound processors, the extra processors will reduce your volume to do its processing so i did not use them, up to you.

My Android Auto now sound much cleaner, and with Noozxoide the music sounds more alive.

How do you get to "Settings > Audio" area on Android? When I go into settings the only audio setting I see is for Sound, which just lets you change things such as ringtones.

Hi Guys, a bit of help needed. I have the gen 1 and this morning the navigation would not launch with a message 'igo is not responding, wait or cancel.' In my haste and while driving I did a factory reset which was very fast. So situation now is that when I go to apps the igo app is not there. Also, the apps that I previously installed are not there either. Is there any way I can get back to how it was please ? Help is much appreciated. Thanks

Should have been obvious, but doing a factory reset on any device wipes all settings and user installed apps - taking it back to the core default state from day one before it was used. You will need to manually reinstall all apps you previously installed and redo any setting changes you've made.

Unfortunately I don't have any knowledge of the "igo" issue, hopefully someone else here can help with that part.

I didn't see an APK that he mentioned other than updating the AutoPlay app and box (which I did). Also installed multiple audio apps, Noozxoide Pro, Noozxoide E and Bass Boost and verified all 3 are running in the background... Still don't see an option in Settings for Audio Settings.

Hi,

Apologies if its already been asked but I am having issues with the bluetooth on my avin unit. When connected to the car bluetooth it will always revert back to the OEM bluetooth call screen whenever i make or recieve a call. I then have to mess about putting it back which can be annoying when i have the satnav up. If i connect to the avin bluetooth the sound quality isn't there and i cant use the steering wheel controls. I have tried using the usb when in carplay however the sound still goes through the phone and not the speakers.

Any help would be fantastic, feel like ive tried everything but it could be an easy fix!

Now i installed it and it worked perfectly except 1 thing.... when i go back to my old idrive system my idrive controller wont work properly... they told me to try every car type option there was but nothing worked... i placed a video on youtube on how it looks...

Meanwhile i got from them a MCU update file... wich made things even worse. Nothing works anymore. Even my radio doesnt respond to ejecting the disc. They seem to reply to my messages once a day or 2. I tought maybe you guys could help me fix these problems...

Care to share your latest MCU file?? <-- Is this for 7.1 version or 4.4 android version?
Also, have you tried both Idrive A and Idrive B setting. <-- Reboot before testing.

WHen you where changing car setup, did you reboot everytime before testing?

So I have been reading through as much of this thread as I can... forgive me if I missed where someone talked about this already. I use my Avin 10.5" primarily with CarPlay. If it helps, I just barely purchased it. It's for a BMW X3 E83. Just to give some of my own experience so far, the first unit I got was totally messed up electrically. Plugging in the "aux" cable caused my factory radio to shut off, GPS didn't work, and it couldn't keep the time to save its life. I finally got ahold of Tommy and he helped me exchange it. I now have a second unit installed, and all is well.

Has anyone figured out a way to set the unit up so it WILL NOT automatically open the "music" app every time you start the car? It drives me nuts! I don't necessarily have to get "autoplay" to open on its own every time, but just having the unit boot to the home menu instead of the "music" app would be awesome. I don't have iDrive, so having it boot into that menu doesn't really help either...

You could always disable the Music App via the Android settings if you do not use it. (Android settings -> Apps -> find MusicPlayer and -> Disable). I've done it before and the launcher seems to work fine. CAUTION: The MusicPlayer calls and starts the EventCenter service that enables Canbus control aka Media buttons etc.
