Is this strange?

Hey guys, I'm new here and I have one question, please answer. Thank you.

My question is: I'm from Germany and I bought a BMW 320d F30. I was in a car and car was turned OFF and while I was turning ON headlights (car was still OFF) my BMW tried like to start itself!? I mean speed cursor on dashboard started to move up a little while I turned headlights ON. Why is that!?

Was the car running I'm assuming? Auto start/stop feature?

Electrical. The needle bumping is much different than the starter engaging...

Tachometer will only move when it receives information from the engine, sounds like you didn't know the car was on or for put it in accessory mode which might just move the tachometer when the software initially boots up. Either way a video is a much better reference as we are just ball parking ideas with you since you issue is kind of vague.

I'm 100% sure that car was off. I would do a video but this is not happening again. Hmm...

That happened when I set headlight dial knob on 0 (Day Time Lights). Also it was making a little noise.
