I actually also had this noise, but once I changed the front struts and swaybar end links the annoying tippy taps sound went away.
My mechanic said he believes it was the bushings on the swaybar end links… Since then I’ve replace by a couple more things like new oem adaptive struts, upper and lower control arm + VAC bushings, top hats… and WOW.. handling and the way it HANDLES the road is completely different when I bought it 2 years ago… I’m still on 20s and the cracks on the shitty 401 don’t unsettle the car nor do they sound bad. The car feels very very stout now. Goodluck with yours!
