Contact dealers near the track events. Again, BMW Cincinnati foot the bill for the 1/2 day event back in September in Kentucky. IIRC, Braman BMW in WPB still sponsors free Friday track events at the Palm Beach International Raceway, or maybe it’s another sponsor. BMW of Lakeland is near Tampa so might be a shot there.

Orange County BMW which I believe is the 2nd closest dealer to the Monticello Casino & Raceway might also sponsor. The one in Poughkeepsie, Hudson Valley BMW has been by far the worst dealer I’ve ever experienced going way back in the mid/late 90’s so I wouldn’t expect anything from them. For the event in NJ, try Paul Miller BMW and Prestige BMW.

You didn’t know who Hader was. And Kershaw is a mess in the playoffs. No thanks

Did 1/2 day for free at Lime Rock few years back. Was great. Later did 2 day M school. Curious has anyone used BMW CCA discount for this?

Where are you going where the cost of brake pads, SRF, tires, and HPDE is less than $500?

I get what you're saying but M Track days are really meant for people that haven't been to a track. Even still, compared to other OEM track days (Porsche, AMG) this is a bargain.

You change your pads and tires every track day? One track day wont kill pads(well unless they are shit pads) or tires.

HPDE can be had for as cheap as $150 in Cali at well known tracks(Thunderhill, etc)

No, but even if you divide up the cost over multiple weekends it'll be more expensive.

You're very lucky with those tracks. Cheapest 2 day events are in the range of $450-ish here, COTA is $1k. SCCA track nights are definitely the cheapest but only 3 sessions with a very mixed bag of folks isn't the best.

I went to the half-day event at Sonoma Raceway over the weekend. I had a blast. We were the first group to drive the G80 around the track. Loved every second of it. Also, I love how the M5c feels around the track. That AWD is something else..

I was told they are hosted at Thermal Club here in SoCal. Been to the facility several times and its a fantastic place. Got 2 track days with my purchase, one from my M and one from my wife's 330. Stoked to go and beat on some demo cars!

I thought the sandwich was really good. Along with the quinoa and parfait.

So was it G80 and F90 on track lead/follow?
How did the G80 feel vs F80 (if you've driven it on track before)?

Correct...

Well...the F90 just floor it and the car does everything for you. As long all system are on just push the pedal down and the car does the rest, AWD at it's finest.

The G80 will oversteer much more and definitely more fun, however stil super safe with DSC full on.

G80 vs. F80... I did Monticello in the F80 and Sonoma in the G80...
The G80 is definitely more powerful and playful compared to the F80, however we haven't took the car to the limit.

Yep, G80 & F90 around the track.

Never taken the F80 to the track but the G80 feels better. F80 feels more pure, G80 feels like the ECU helps compensate for a lot of traction issues and is a lot less intrusive. I was going slightly sideways on the G80 and the traction didn't even kick in.

I don't plan to drive the 3 hours there and back in the 1980 Vette and the H-D would be suicide so the Z4 will be my only other transportation to get there and back.

But yes, public appearances will be good since they are rare sightings.
