What to use to clean my rims

Does anyone have any good recommendations on what to use to clean my rims? I have the 400M wheels and is a bit yellow from the brake dust. Im located in Toronto, if anyone can recommend me a place to buy, that would be great.

Expensive, but worth it, especially as you can dilute it with water:

SONAX wheel cleaner. As far as the wheel cleaners I have used, SONAX is literally spray, let set for 5-10 minutes depending on how caked or stained the wheel is and just spray with little to no wiping. Readily available at any Canadian Tire.

I use Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus. Spray it, watch it turn red, rinse it off.

Is Sonax safe for ceramic? I coated my wheels with ceramic before I had them installed.

No clue. Sonax states it is acid free.
I thought if you ceramic coated your wheels, soap and water would be enough. ??

Maybe water from a pressure washer?

if you coated your wheels you need nothing more than soap and water. that was the whole point of you coating your wheel. using anything more will just degrade the durability.

from my gathering in information about wheel care. if you ceramic coat the wheels before hand. they could last up to at least a year but many claimed longer. maintenance is just rinse and wipe. no other cleaner needed.

if not ceramic coated Sonax a one of the most popular option for a quick and easy clean. especially brake dust that sat on the wheels for some time.

if using pressure washer, i assume you're using the right nozzle that's safe for the cars. just make sure not to aim too close to the wheels or else the clear coat will chip off. especially if you have a minor scratch already on the wheel.

I’ve been using Black Magic No Scrub All Wheel Cleaner, and it’s worked somewhat well but I’ve had to wipe the wheels down with towels to get all the brake residue off. Does Sonax work well enough that I just spray it on and then wash it off with the hose to clear it?

I used the Black Magic cleaner before.. and the Sonax cleaner is miles better, definitely. I still hit the wheels with a quick brush on some parts before I spray it off, but I will say that Sonax is a good product.

Man, ever since I got graphite wheels the brake dust is horrendous. Right after a wash/drying a good 5 min drive gets brake dust everywhere.

I've used Iron X and Sonax Wheel Cleaner on my ceramic coated rims several times now side by side and personally had better results with Iron X. There's a noticeable difference in dirt removal before contact wash using Iron X.

It has been a year since my rims were coated and no failure yet using either product.

Griots heavy duty worked well for me.
