N20 oil pump balancer plug

changed the timing chain on my 428ix I forgot to replace the black plug in the oil pump. How concerned should I be? Will it damage the oil pump?

Just did the timing chain on my car. The plug wasn't there and i forgot to install it. Did you ever get an answer on this? I hope I don't have to pull the pan back off.
