1st Blackstone Oil Report
Pleasant surprise for 219,355 mile vehicle. Still stock and most mileage is on highways and secondary roads. Oil changes are typically 7,000 to 8,500 miles.

I did mine over the summer and though I am half you milage my report was good as well. I am surprised they said try ~10K? I would stay with changing it as you have been or sooner.

I'm not. 3 to 5k was a reasonable interval...40 years ago, when we were still using mineral oil. It's simply not necessary with modern lubricants. That said I change mine at roughly 3.5k, only because I change it in the spring to get rid of the crud that builds up over the winter, and I only drive 3.5k a year.

I'll stick with my schedule even though 10K is adequate. It's cheap "insurance" the oil with not be culprit when disaster finally strikes!

Have you replaced the eccentric shaft or bearings? Just curious.
