I think I’ll take it to the local independent.

Better than nothing I suppose
Not a bad outcome. Whilst it's clearly a thin margin business, it does feel like they could do more to make up for the disappointment and hassle - perhaps some non-time limited vouchers for discounts off future tyres from them.

It's now just the inconvenience of sorting it out being honest I'm not really after more from them.

It's one of those things, you're squeezing a tight fitting low profile tyre over a piece of painted metal (we all know how easily paint can be marked), these things are bound to happen occasionally. It's just crap luck of the draw that it's happened to you! Sounds like they're dealing with it as well as they can do. Fingers crossed you can get it sorted to a standard you're happy with.

Agree but there’s a touch more to it than that.

The lad that turned up had to knock on the door after 10 mins to say his compressor had failed and he was on the phone to his boss, he said he’d send another van which they did, they then spent the next half hour chatting and laughing etc looked like they were mates, they kind of shared the job.

I have it all on my cctv and it just didn’t seem that professional with the laughing and joking, maybe took their eye off the job?

At least they have acknowledged it and you can get it sorted although the hassle factor is still a pain!

That's a shit, but at least they're sorting it.

FYI if you only get one diamond cut wheel refurbed it'll look different to the other on the same side of the car (fatter spokes).

Tbh that just looks like it needs a smart repair rather than a full refurb

That would infuriate me.

Exactly right.

I'd avoid a full refurb and just have a smart repair. Quick, easy, and no risk of the face of the wheel not matching.
