Funny isn't it that Scholes said on Wednesday 'play like that against Liverpool or City and you're 3 or 4 down at half time and it's game over'.

Well they delivered.

I'm a Liverpool fan and as much as I like a win, that was just embarrassing. Ole can't sort those egos out nor get the best from them. Great player but didn't prove himself in any big league - leave with dignity and go.

They should never have signed Ronaldo. They didn't need him. Feels like they only went for him to stop City doing so. And now they have him, they have to play him. Spunk loads of money on Sancho after chasing him for ages just to sit on the bench. Seems to have unbalanced them. Doesn't excuse the shocking defending though. They've been shipping goals all season.

As a Spurs fan though I'm dreading next week. If anyone will roll over and give them the bounce back they need it's us!

Looks like we won ugly, but the key thing is we won. Made mincemeat of Genk on Thursday, too.

I watched the Man U/Liverpool game on a Latino channel here in Vegas. They were loving it. Folk from Mexico and further South know how to enjoy a good game. The commentators were beside themselves when Salah got his hat-trick. Mind you, that unmarked I'd of fancied my chances of scoring, even as the schoolboy donkey defender that I was.

Was at bees game. Another harsh lesson in taking opportunities. Poor bees finishing,a quality keeper and wonder goal gave Leicester the win in my opinion Much the same as the Chelsea game.
Not worried as performances like the last two will yield results but what's the point having the most chances or being the better team when you lose. Need to be more streetwise.
I was behind tielemans strike yesterday and I could only admire it! Was in row 1 behind goal
Still pretty happy with the quality and performances and to compete at the level is pleasing. I was expecting Norwich kinda performances (feel for them at the mo) but bees need to get a result against burnley next and Norwich at home (have tickets) to keep the points ticking over.

Just finished watching Villa vs Hammers. FFS, why isn't a forearm chop to the face worth a red card? Did the ref feel he couldn't send off two players because he played advantage after the first offense.

I noted that Stuart Attwell was the VAR. He was clueless the day before in the Spurs/United game.

Feel sorry for him, don't know why they even bothered appointing him. Conte's going to be asking for a lot more to go there now seeing as he rejected them at the beginning of the season.

Indeed I am preparing for life in the championship as we speak. No excuses with this one!
Bees are good at closing games out and the skullduggery. When the shoe was on the other foot it's so painful every challenge and I mean every challenge in the second half seen a Norwich player take 2 mins out and sprint back on if the ref asked then to leave the pitch . The time never gets added on. Including agonising goal kicks that add a few mins too. They broke up the pressure well as the onslaught would have seen more goals from bees without a doubt.
Norwich did play well, Tim Krul is a quality keeper… don't think it deserved a win but fair play to then. Also I think their players were energised as according to media reports they knew the manager was out before the game brings a certain wake up I think.

Imagine if Moyes had been given his time at United, they probably would still be decent instead of the meme they’ve become!

I wondered how a Liverpool fan would spin a positive from that

WH fully deserved it!

Moyes was treated like shat and that’s the funny part in the whole thing!

You also can’t win every game, it’s ok by me no hard feelings at all!

Early days yet. The issue you have is that Norwich and Newcastle will be revitalised with new managers. I see fat Frank is favourite for Carrow Road and our dear departed Eddie for Newcastle. I'm not sure about Delia but Newcastle will spend big in January. Burnley traditionally dig themselves out their hole. You'd expect Villa to sort themselves out and Bielsa likewise once Bamford returns.

Its just going to be one big scrap as usual, hopefully you won't get sucked into it.

Meanwhile we're enjoying the best football we've seen since Howe led us to the PL in 2015 (and I'm going back to 1980). Hopefully we're safe from relegation on 40 points .

Good man

Yeah, you're spot on. They gave Moyes little chance and then gave a succession of worse managers far more opportunity.

Funny thing is, WH also shafted Moyes first time around but at least went back and ate humble pie. He worked wonders last season and looking even better so far this.

I think Moyes was quite naive at MU and went in and cleared out all the backroom staff and tried to make everything like it was at Everton, however it's too big of a beast for that.
Since Ferguson left the club has become a complete shambles. Letting him and Gill go at the same time is probably the biggest mistake the Glazers made in a footballing sense but the money is still rolling in so they really don't care.
