Sudden influx of B58 lower turbo inlet pipes available

For those that don't know, I've noticed a sudden influx of lower turbo inlet pipes now available for B58:

Paradigm Engineering
Burger Tuning

Has anyone had their turbo inlet bust even with stage 2 pressure?

Turbo inlet has absolutely nothing to do with stage/tune pressure. Turbo inlet is under vacuum, never pressure.

They are all slightly different construction, so they aren't from a large batch like you suggest.

The Paradigm turbo inlet looks the best IMO. I see the potential for better turbo sounds with the removal of the resonator, but I wonder if there's actually better engine responsiveness?

Million dollar question! My guess is you probably cannot perceive any quicker spool times. Maybe if you were tracking the car, and every 1/10 second matters.

I did the BMS silicone upper tube. It removes that resonator (didn't realize there was a lower resonator as well). I'm guessing if you did the lower, you'd hear more turbo blow off, but speculation on my part.

They are mostly for increased induction sound (deletes the inlet muffler). Only benefit would be if you paired with an upgraded turbo that uses factory design compressor inlet where its still push to connect with lock ring, daw for example. Reason being the inner diameter isnt choked down like the factory muffled inlet.

I received my inlet from ross racing when he offered them, made a big induction sound difference. completely happy with it.
